With 5.52 billion internet users globally, digital content has become vital for travel planning. This study examines how well-crafted digital photobooks can inspire and engage potential tourists, particularly for lesser-known destinations struggling for recognition in the travel industry. Research indicates that digital photobooks effectively promote travel by capturing and sharing experiences.
We focused on Layout Design and Visual Sequencing. This involved meticulously arranging the selected and graded photos into a narrative structure.
The iterative process of drafting began here. We created the First Draft, which established the foundational content and layout structure. Immediately after, we produced the Second Draft, which addressed initial internal reviews, polishing the design and integrating more comprehensive content.
Importantly, the First and Second Drafts were presented simultaneously to our Key Informants for their comprehensive assessment, allowing us to gather all professional feedback in one focused session.
The combined feedback from our Key Informants on the initial drafts led directly to the Creation of the Third Draft. This draft incorporated major professional recommendations, such as adjustments to orientation, text alignment, and final narrative refinement. The Third Draft was then presented to our Survey Respondents, our target audience, to gather essential user experience feedback.

As you can see in the layout preview, we ensured the flow of the book was logical, engaging, and visually appealing, dedicating spreads to high-impact shots and arranging smaller images into cohesive clusters.

The final stage was the Creation of the Final Draft. This draft is the culmination of all work: it integrates the final, user-centric refinements from the survey respondents along with the last professional checks from our Key Informant.
I used Cormorant Garamond for Headings and Subheadings, which provides an elegant, classic feel while Raleway for Body Text and Captions, ensuring high readability and a clean, modern look.
Storyboard of Draft 2
For the color palette, it consists of earthy tones such as Pine Tree and Moss Green for the natural elements, Dark Vanilla and Eggshell for a warm, aged, and classic background feel, Café Noir and Eerie Black for contrast and body text, ensuring sophistication and readability. This scheme perfectly embodies the concept of a rich cultural journey.
